Dear G-CAN membership and community,
We are so pleased, under the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, to have successfully hosted the live virtual, and on-demand G-CAN 2020 Sixth annual research symposium. The meeting was attended by a record-shattering 182 participants, with 27 Early Career Investigator abstracts. Attendee feedback on the new “Year in Review” sessions, the abstracts (posters) and live virtual presentations, the special awards lectures, and the gout and CPPD/apatite arthropathy clinical and translational mini-symposia was outstanding. We also heeded comments from the surveyed attendees to augment several features of the meeting format to allow for greater interaction between attendees and presenters.
We are pleased to announce the G-CAN 2021 Seventh Annual Research symposium, which at this point is planned again as an all-virtual event, with live and on-demand program elements. The live content will be presented, starting at 1 PM USA Eastern time Friday October 22, 2021 (this date is the USA day of meeting). On-demand material including poster sessions, will again be available several days prior to the live meeting.
New sessions for this year will include:
- Live interactive chat rooms and virtual interaction sessions with poster presenters and available speakers
- Live virtual career mentoring sessions with senior investigators in the field
- Live virtual networking sessions with meeting sponsors and interested attendees
Further information on the G-CAN 2021 symposium will be forthcoming.
Lastly, G-CAN is pleased to announce the publication of further manuscripts supported by the G-CAN membership and organization, and we direct you to the G-CAN website and our Twitter account (@G_CANgout) for further information and links to the entire body of G-CAN-supported publications to date.
